A visit with Panther Day Five.
Today we were tired from doing do much so we sat on the front stoop of the hut and just watched. We watched the birds, the clouds, the people, the everything. We soaked the day up with our eyes observing every second. At the end of the day our final observation was the sunset. The sunset is something I will remember forever. The sunset is the same every where in every way, except different every where else in every other way.
a visit with Panther Day Four.
We are going to the Christmas Festival. There is dancing and music I can't wait to hear it all.
Here is the national anthem of Southern Sudan.

A visit with Panther Day Three.
For lunch today we had Gorraasa Be Dama a sort of meat sauce (Dama) on home-made tortillas (Gorraasa.) It was a very big deal we got to eat this. Here's the recipe but be warned depending on your cook this could be very spicy.
Ingredients:
1 tsp cardamom
Ingredients:
6 onions
4 tbsp tomato paste
1/3 cup oil
3 cloves of crushed garlic
250g beef steak
3 cups water
3 tomatoes
1/2 green pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
Chop onions and put in pot and fry
in oil at medium heat. Keep covered, stirring occasionally. Add
water and cover, leaving on medium heat for 5-10 minutes until water is almost evaporated. Lightly
blend onions and return to pot and add chopped tomatoes.
Chop steak into small pieces and add to pot with chopped pepper, salt, cardamom and cinnamon. Cover and leave for 3 minutes. Add tomato paste and stir, adding water until smooth and runny. Cover and leave to simmer for 10 minutes adding more water occasionally. Stir in crushed garlic. A visit with Panther Day Two.
Today we went on a hike. Panther showed me a bunch of wild flowers in the brush which smelled Interesting...The photo to the left is of the Desert Stapelias. The Desert Stapelias has a pungent smell with the purpose of attracting pollinating flies.

A visit with Panther Day One.

Imagine If the Lost Boys Had Bikes when the walked all those miles. We rode bikes all over today it was amazing. We even rode to the school he is building. When I got to the hut I was staying in that night I had a bunch of dirt on me from the dusty roads. I felt very dusty and in need of a shower.
